Antibacterial Hand Gels

One of the main ways that germs can spread from one person to another is by hand contact. Washing your hands thoroughly is one of the most effective ways to help stop the spread of germs. However this is not always possible or convenient and so alcohol gels can be a great alternative for effective hand hygiene.

  • Aloe Vera - with soothing aloe veria.
  • Soothing - contains camomile to soothe your skin.
  • Moisture Plus - with milk protein, a natural skin conditioner.
  • Sensitive - specially formulated for sensitive skin.
  • Splash Gel -

How they work

Carex Hand Gel is an ethanol-based hand rub with high alcohol content. Ethanol is known to be effective against most bacteria such as S.aureus, E.coli and many viruses, and has been proven to kill more than 99.9% of these bacteria in less than 15 seconds. Ethanol quickly evaporates off the skin leaving your hands feeling cool and fresh. Our hand gels also contain glycerin, a widely used skin conditioner, to help leave your skin feel soft & moisturised.

Benefits of using alcohol hand gels:

  • Requires less time than washing with soap and water
  • Quick & effective germ kill
  • Instant drying
  • Convenient when out and about
  • Spreads easily across hands and between fingers
  • Can be less drying to skin than frequent washing with soap & water

Usage Suggestions

It is still recommended to use an antibacterial hand wash when your hands are visibly dirty. Hand gels can be used to complement your standard hand washing routine. They can be used whilst out and about where water is not available or even in the home for added reassurance.
