Pre-School Teaching Resources

Pre-school playgroundIt’s fundamental for young children’s understanding that the importance of hand washing is related to experiences they understand. Hands Up For Hygiene has provided pre-school children with opportunities to learn about the importance of hand washing in a variety of "real life" situations since 2003.

The activity suggestions in our Pre-School Activity Session Plans provide young children with a range of stimulus including songs, stories, game play, discussion topics, role play and craft templates. Ideas can easily be adapted to suit the facilities and number of children in your setting.

Download the Leader's Guide for details of how the Activity Session Plans link to key parts of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
