A valuable part of your child’s learning and development comes through active play - painting, modelling and playing in the garden can soon make busy hands become dirty hands!
As experts in hygiene and handwashing we would like to share with you some useful tips on how to help your child understand when and how they should wash their hands properly!
Use the specially created songs together with the suggested mime actions to make handwashing fun and memorable:

When?
Humpty Dumpty Washed His Hands! - Children are reminded of the extra importance of handwashing after using the toilet by singing along as Humpty Dumpty makes a visit to the toilet and remembers to wash his hands!
Have You Washed Your Hands? to the tune of Polly Put the Kettle On children will be reminded of the importance of hand washing before preparing or eating food.
How?
Squirt, Squirt, Squirt! to the tune of Wheels on the Bus children practice the actions required to wet, soap, rinse and dry hands thoroughly.
Wash them well! to help make sure hands are washed properly they should be should rubbed together for at least 10 - 15 seconds. This simple song, sung to the tune of Frère Jacques takes approximately 15 seconds to sing through and will help children judge the time.
